Emis health was where I started my career as a Jr Developer. Here I worked as a part of the GP Web team creating medical practice websites with Wordpress along with providing training solutions to medical practices over the phone on how they could update content and add assets to their website.

GP Web Solutions

Some of the reponsibilities as a Jr Developer included the following:

• Creating wordpress themes with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP
• Handling document uploads and format changes
• Remote support over the phone and email
• Handling customer queries and support tickets
• Debugging performance issues
• Creating reports and usage with Google Analytics

Intradoc

During my time at Emis Health we also merged teams with Intradoc. Intradoc was a cloud based practice management system built in PHP and allowed medical practices to securly store customer sensitive information alongside practice documents and reports. Working on the intradoc platform I worked primarily with:

• PHP
• SCSS
• User permissions
• Audit trails
• Remote file upload
• CMS development

System Support

As a part of my Jr Role I also had the opportunity to work in system support for the hardware/networking side of the business. This was during my period of studying for my CCNA and Prince Certifications. Some of my responsibilities included:

• Debugging server errors over the phone
• Hardware support
• User account management with Active Directory
• Clinical software diagnosis
• Networking (servers, switches and routers)
• Windows Server
• Identification and escalation of issues understanding trends
• Diagnosis and resolution of alerts and events
• Compliance with ISAO standards (20000, 9001 & 27001)
